Every team has two rivals, one in its division and one across the conferences, and every rivalry has a trophy. The winner of the latest meeting holds it. The names are working names for now.
Every team has two rivals: one in its own division and one in the matching division of the other conference. Each of those rivalries has a trophy, so the 32-team league has thirty-two (a 16-team league has sixteen).
When two rivals meet in the league, regular season or playoffs, it is a trophy game, with the trophy across the top of the game page and the preview. The winner takes the trophy, or keeps it; a tie leaves it where it was. Before their first meeting nobody holds it.
A meeting counts once its game has finished playing out, so the trophy page and the game page never give a result away early. The Watch tab says who held the trophy going in, not who won. The names are working names for now; the league will choose the real ones by a vote once it has more players.
