How the red zone channel works
While the 1:00 PM and 4:25 PM (Eastern) windows are being played, the channel shows one game at a time in the normal game viewer, with a ticker of every game in the window above it. No account is needed.
It cuts to a game when a team has the ball inside the other team's 20, and again inside the 5; right after a score or a turnover; in the last 5 minutes of a one-score game; and on any snap with at least 2 times the average win chance at stake, the same measure as Your moment. The game on screen is held for at least 30 seconds, and the channel only leaves it for a game that is clearly hotter, so the picture does not flick about.
Tap a game in the ticker to stay on it. The channel then holds there until you tap Follow the action. Switching starts the new game at its newest play, as live.
The channel follows the same spoiler rules as the game viewer. It only ever knows plays that have already played out. While a game is live, the ticker shows its quarter, clock and where the ball is, but not its score, and a cut after a score, a turnover or a close finish is labelled only as a big moment. A final score appears only once the game has finished playing out, and no stats are shown until then.
